CBS, NBC, and FOX Interview with ValuSolar+
With Christmas just around the corner, Earl Waller, the owner of ValuSolar+, had a chance to sit down and speak about the past, present, and future of ValuSolar+. In this brief interview, Earl explains how his business got its start, what sets ValuSolar+ apart from its competitors, and more!

Today we’d like to introduce you to Earl Waller.
It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story? How did you get to where you are today?
Yes, first and foremost, it’s an honor to be featured. Seriously, Thank You! So ValuSolar+ was formed after I became a father of twin girls which was in August of 2019. It’s actually pretty interesting I’ve always been two things, family-oriented and entrepreneurial-minded. So actually prior to starting ValuSolar+ I had a business doing smart home security and automation for the community and local homeowners. Doing this is what lead me to solar. Because in that industry I would ask the homeowners if you could save the most money on one thing on or in your home what would it be? I’d ask that because with smart home automation a lot of times I could save them a decent amount of money on additional services and almost every single time I’d ask they’d tell me electricity. I’d say like out of 10 homes at least 7 would say their electric bill. It was predominately homeowners who were parents or had children at home, they were the heavy electricity users. So yeah, that’s how solar ValuSolar+ got its start, since I too, know my day for high electric bills is coming (laughing).
I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?
The biggest challenge I’ve had to face early on and even now sometimes is basically clearing up the misconceptions of going solar. A lot of homeowners aren’t aware of the real benefits and value of going solar. They don’t understand the fact that most times homeowners are paying less on both a monthly and long-term basis to go solar as they are to rent their electricity from the major companies. Many do not know that the property value of their homes skyrocket by going solar. They’re unaware of the rebates and incentives solar offers (some states even as high as a 26 percent tax credit). And I mean it isn’t any fault of their own, it’s just the lack of awareness. This is why at ValuSolar+ we have a created platform that educates our homeowners on all things solar, rather than just positioning our services.
Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?
At ValuSolar+ we specialize in value. As cliche or generic as that may sound it’s the truth. Our mission isn’t only to sell solar but to also help homeowners understand all aspects of solar. Aspects such as those I mentioned earlier. It’s amazing there are so many clients that speak with who at first are hesitant but after everything is laid out in black and white in front of them whether it’s through a zoom call or in-person they are mind blown. They are mind blown not only by the savings but all the benefits and value of going solar. We do not do much traditional marketing as we try our hardest to be more educational than salesy. As a result, a great deal of our clientele comes by way of referral which to us is amazing and means our clients see and appreciate the value.
What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?
My best piece of advice would be to put people first. I’ve always found it interesting the whole philosophy behind making sure you put yourself first. So many people operate that way. My greatest level of success has come from helping others around me achieve success. As a result, I ultimately see the greatest level of accomplishment in my business and in life.
Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?
I once read a quote that said I’d hate to die without having done the thing I was born to do. That stuck with me. I was born to be of service to others. For me, success means making a big enough impact on as many people as possible. Therefore, when it’s all said and done the world knows that I existed.
What’s next for you?
Next, would be to extend the business and continue to grow. I am currently licensed to operate in 23 of the Continental United States. So I’m blessed and looking to continue being a blessing to others.
